Snow | Ice | Freezing Rain

This morning when I found the sun beaming down on our snow covered lawn, I couldn’t have been happier! The past couple of days have been filled with cloudy skies, sleet, freezing rain and snow! After seeing the sun, I couldn’t help but grab my camera bag on my way out the door. Below I’ve posted a few pictures taken at the park during my lunch.

Thank You!

It’s hard to believe almost a month has passed since I took these pictures! I blame my lack of blogging on the fact that I disliked my blog. Thankfully, this feeling of dislike is now gone due to my new blog design. I hope you enjoy the new look as much as I do! Enough about my lack of blogging and back to the main reason for this post… a thank you.

When I decided to dive head first into the world of photography I wasn’t sure where to begin. Thanks to a new friend, who has now became a good friend, I have found my way. Thanks for all the advice, mentoring and letting me tag along on your shoots! I really appreciate all that you have done to help me! You can check out her website by clicking here: www.sonkissedphotography.com

Several weeks ago we decided to meet up to take pictures for our websites/blogs. Below I’ve posted a few I took of Kristen. You can see the pictures she took of me on my website and in the about me and header sections of this blog.

Urban Family Session

Saturday after I finished the family session in the park, I made my way downtown to meet up with the K family. They felt it was time to update the family pictures but wanted something a little more fun than a studio shoot. Our adventure began in the heart of downtown and before we knew it we finished the parade route! Not really but we did take pictures all over downtown. As always, I’ve posted a few for your viewing pleasure and numerous others throughout my website. K’s you are a wonderful family and should be proud! Thanks for letting me capture this time in your life!

Family Session

Last Saturday I started my day by meeting up with Gregg and his family for a family session at the park. I’ve been looking forward to this shoot for some time now because Gregg purchased the session as a Christmas surprise to Lisa. The gift was a smashing success! I’ve posted a few of my favorites below and numerous others throughout my website. Have you ever seen such a beautiful family! Thanks for the wonderful morning in the park! By the way...I'm told the entire family can do the "eyebrow".

Impact of a picture

When going through the mail today I received a package from a friend. I immediately opened the envelope to find a card with a picture on the front of it. I felt like I was looking at a picture of myself and two of my best friends from high school. However, the picture was not actually of us. It was just a picture selected by Hallmark placed on the front of a card. It’s amazing though, that moment captured by the photographer took me back 10 years. If lifestyle photography would have been popular we would have had a picture like the one below… cowboy hats and all! What great memories! Thanks L!
